Some builds start in a garage. Others start as a dream halfway across the world. For Mike, the R32 GT-R was that dream. Stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, he would walk past a pair of R32s every day on his way to the base, never realizing one day he’d own one himself. The design caught him early — simple, timeless, and perfectly balanced. Three years later, that dream sits in his driveway, alive, breathing, and built with intention.

Exterior Presence

Mike’s R32 carries its legacy with pride. N1 headlights bring clarity to the front, while the combination of a Racing Service Takagi carbon diffuser, Shorin side skirts, and a Trust Greddy Gracer rear under spoiler tie the body together cleanly. The Fujimura Rocket Dancer gurney flap adds subtle aggression, and touches like a Kasai Service tow hook, 78Works LED taillights, and Nismo accents give it that authentic JDM flavor. Everything remains true to form, respectful of its heritage but tuned to his personal taste.

Wheels, Brakes, and Suspension

LMGT 3-piece 18x10.5 +9 wheels set the stance, paired with Rotora 6-piston fronts and 4-piston rears for serious stopping power. The Airlift 3P management system, VIAIR dual compressors, and Bag Riders super low bags achieve that perfect balance between comfort and attitude. Mike admits bagging a GT-R might raise some eyebrows, but for him, it was a milestone — something he had always wanted to experience. SPL HICAS delete, ISR camber kit, and Cusco strut bars make sure the setup still performs while maintaining the aggressive ride height that defines his style.

Engine Bay

The RB26DETT remains the heart of it all. Controlled by a Haltech Elite 2500 and paired with an HKS GT III SS turbo, the setup stays true to the roots of the car without chasing numbers. Everything under the hood serves purpose and presentation — from the custom powder-coated valve covers to the Tomei titanium exhaust, Trust Greddy oil cooler, and HKS high-flow cat. It’s a clean, well-thought-out setup focused on reliability, tone, and heritage.

Interior

The inside continues the blend of OEM spirit and personal flair. Recaro racing seats, a Works Bell hub with HKS 50th anniversary steering wheel, and a Tommy Kaira Hebi Bebi shift knob keep things period-correct yet personal. Mine’s details throughout, from the shift and e-brake boots to the short shifter, tie the cabin to the era of Japanese tuning’s golden age. The Nismo seat covers, mats, and protectors finish it off with subtle pride.

Built Beyond Warranty

Mike’s Skyline isn’t a car you just buy, it’s one you build with your heart. Every piece on this R32 tells part of his story — from his time in Japan to the dream he refused to let go of. The decision to bag it, to shape it his way, and to give it his own identity shows what VOIDED stands for. Pushing limits. Keeping standards high. Staying true to what drives you, no matter what anyone else says. Mike didn’t just build a car, he built a reflection of his journey. This GT-R was made beyond expectations, and truly built beyond warranty.
